Every construction project starts off friendly but things can, and do, go wrong. Projects are delayed, costs overrun, the workmanship isn’t what you expected, you are not getting what you thought you were going to get, and the list goes on. Tensions mount. Frustration grows. Emotions can take over on both sides. Sometimes buildings or a building's systems fail after construction has been completed; sometimes years after. That’s where I come in.
I’ll work with you, your builder, attorney, and other professionals to a reasonable and equitable resolution. In new construction, I'll work with you to ensure that you get a quality job in a reasonable amount of time and at a reasonable cost.
In the unlikely event that we are not able to work with the contractor to complete the project to your satisfaction, I’ll help make the transition to a more capable contractor and I’ll be there with a team of experts, including legal representation, to provide additional support if necessary.
ELECTRICAL INSPECTION and CONSULTING
Home and commercial building inspectors often advise their clients to seek further evaluation of electrical systems by an electrician when they see what the suspect may be a problem. What the inspectors do not realize is that electricians do not have the specialized training and experience to do the evaluations. Electricians are mechanics. As such their education mainly involves learning how to properly build an electrical system. They typically don't do in-depth troubleshooting, evaluations, and analysis of electrical systems.
I started my electrical career at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. in 1974 in the United States Army. My background includes power distribution, electronics, instrumentation, and controls. I have been a master electrician and licensed electrical contractor since 1981. I began doing advanced troubleshooting and system analysis in the 1970s and have made that my main focus. Of course, I spent plenty of time building electrical systems while continuing my education and developing more advanced skills.
I have built, inspected, repaired, and managed many tens of millions of dollars in electrical systems ranging from homes and small commercial buildings to large manufacturing plants, high-rise office buildings, and municipal waste-water treatment plants. I have also investigated many electrical fires and other electrical system failures. No matter what your electrical inspection or investigation needs are, I have the knowledge and experience to find answers and give you the guidance you need.
